Richard is responsible for our Liverpool operation and is Chairman of the RHL division. He joined RHL from Cambridge University in 1975 in the Energy Risks department in London and managed the Kuwait office between 1979/82. Richard qualified as a Fellow of the Association of Average Adjusters in 1984 and transferred to Liverpool as managing partner. He is responsible for the Technical Committee that provides advice to the group offices and clients on hull claims problems, and a past Chairman of the Association of Average Adjusters. Copies of his Chairman’s Addresses from 2008 and 2009 can be found in the ‘Downloads’ section of this website and deals with the topics of pollution and incidence of loss. He is co-editor of the 13th edition of Lowndes & Rudolf on General Average and the York Antwerp Rules.
